i'm hoping that someone can clarify a part of Almine's meditation for "The higher Function of the Stomach"...near the end of the meditation where we use our breath to make the upper oval out of sync with the lower one & just at the point where the upper one is at the 3rd chakra & the lower one is at the 2nd chakra, Almine states that actually both ovals are going in the same direction.
that's what i don't see. if the upper oval is "coming DOWN" to the 3rd chakra, then the lower oval is "coming UP" to the 2nd chakra, aren't they going in different directions if they are to meet above each other in that moment(the upper movement at the 3rd chakra & the lower movement at the 2nd).
I see them both cycling in the same direction meaning clockwise, as viewed from the center of each oval, in that they circle up the left and down the right. When they move out of sync and meet at the navel area, the bottom moves up the left to the navel wtih the upper moving down the right to the navel area as we breathe out. Even though the timing has shifted, I see both circles still moving in the same circular or oval direction.
I have a question too. Almine says to move the lower oval energy up from one hand's length below feet to left foot/left ankle/left knee/left ovary area/root/2nd Chakra and then down from the 2nd Chakra to the right ovary area/right knee/etc. On the way down should it also go through the root chakra? 2nd Chakra to root and then to right ovary area?
Hi Marie, yes, you've got it right, same sequence moving down as up. It takes some visualizing, and I wrote it out for myself and studied it before attempting to do it to make sure all the chakras were memorized in the correct order.
No worries. I don't know why I was drawn to do it the two ways. Creating the pattern feels like drawing sigils, or something like that, with different meanings depending on how the energies are directed. Maybe there's an entire body of magic based on this practice.
I especially enjoy doing it standing outside with my bare feet touching the Earth. It seems to increase awareness of the experience on different levels.
thanks to everyone for their clarity...just got back our power after Hurricane Irene, so i have a few more questions on how others are doing the meditations:
1) when visualizing the stomach churning like a washing machine, are you visualizing the churning as vertical(going top to bottom in a circle) or horizontal(going side to side in a circle)?
2) how long do you maintain the churning approximately? i realize that this can vary but just to see some approximate times that others are using.
3) how long have you been allowing the bottom & upper ovals to circulate in sync before taking the final step of slowing the upper oval down & taking that breath? & are you quickly doing this out-of sync step, taking the breath, & then ending the meditation?
My meditations go like this:
See #1 and #2 above - I churn in various directions while I'm visualizing it for 5 or so minutes. I then let it go on its own. I begin again later or the next day. The first time I did the churning, I could not maintain the visualization long enough for the density to change to a ball of light. Therefore, I just started it and then let it go with the intention that it be cleansed and become the ball of light.
#3 I get the two ovals going and enjoy it for a few moments. I feel blockages clear, especially at or below the occipital lobe (place of what is and what is hoped to be) merge, and so I let that occur until it feels finished. I feel gratitude at the beginning and again when both are going. I envision the perfection that I wish to reveal while being aware that the navel area brings magic and "is the place where soul and body ignite to create new qualities and reveal perfect realities in our life." (Quote from Almine on Awakening radio show.) Then I breathe in slowly and I slow the top oval. When the in breath is complete, the energy is at the top chakra, as the energy goes down, I slowly breathe out. The bottom oval is going at a faster pace and goes around a number of times. When I'm nearing the end of my out breath, I see the bottom oval coming to the navel as the top oval is also. When they meet, I take a quick in breath, see the flash of the image, I wish to manifest, I see the spark move from lower oval of energy to the upper, it ignites, I force breath out, shooting energy out of belly button into the envisioned image.
I then start my slow in breath again. I repeat the process of igniting and shooting energy into the image from the navel three or four time. I then equalize the movement of the upper oval and lower. Almine says paraphrased - When in sync, moving the same direction, it changes the geometry of the feminine in and around the body, when they work together instead of pulling apart; which I interpreted to mean that we could allow them to continue to move this way.
I then let the meditation go. I'm not sure if the ovals keep going in this pattern or not. I don't force them to or set that intention. My sense is that this meditation begins a body of magic where the energy flows according to what we are manifesting in the ever-changing, fluid reality of our lives as we fluidly and instantaneously create and merge with it.
I see a correlation between this meditation and the translation of the Sixth Hanging Tablet from Library of the Angels given in AOA/Science of Alchemy course, offered Oct, Nov, Dec 2009, which says, "Awareness, life force and power one must be. Only then must all join pure and pristine."..."So shall cycles of dreams cease to be." (The current Book of the Atlantean Angels course tells of this also, but uses the language "soul, body and spirit.")
Awareness, life force and power seem to correspond to the top oval, bottom oval and navel area of this meditation.
In about 2007 or 2008, I had a vision of my body becoming one with sigils of power and that access to, what is called awareness, life force and power were within me. I saw it as a dance with sigils and received some of them, but have been seeking more.
I also see a merging depicted in Almine's paintings of light. Previously the sigils were superimposed in black ink and appeared separate from the fluid form of the image (like we have been, superimposed over all that is, but separate). Now in the last newsletter, regarding sacred sexuality, the sigil is lighter, is in color and merges with the image. I see this depicting the merging of awareness, life force and power - the clouds which are nearly solid representing awareness and life force, and the sigil representing power.
If you look at the Key to the Angel Libraries (given at the beginning of the AOA, now called Science of Alchemy, course) it is shaped like two merging circles with a line in the center of the merging. This key opened the libraries to powerful Alchemy. It is similar to the pattern that we are drawing within ourselves, perhaps this pattern is also a key.
On 8/3/11 on Almine's Diary, there is a depiction of the Hierarchy of the Angels which looks similar to the Key to the Angel Libraries, but is much more complex. It is my understanding, from listening to the radio shows and from Almine's diary, that this drawing preceded the Atlantean Book of the Angels, which contains 300 principles which when embodied and combined, completely transforms life. The similarity between these patterns seems somewhat unique.
Orange Cat(s) and Meditation
After I started doing the meditation two brownish-orange cats appeared. (Regarding orange cat, see recent August Awakening from the Dream Radio show (8/27?) They appear to be siblings, maybe brother (with blue collar) and sister (with pink collar). The one with the blue collar is definitely male, but I can't get close enough to the female to confirm. The male is very affectionate and appears to always be in bliss. He rubs against the ground and purrs. He loves to be petted, endlessly. As soon as I saw him, I associated it with the blissful feelings that come from the chakra meditation. The female also appears to be in bliss, closes her eyes blissfully and will roll on the ground, but will not come near enough to be touched. When I'm playing with the male, she will come close by and copy the male's movements of rolling against the ground, and seems to wish to participate with us. She will even smell my fingertips, but if I reach to touch her, she moves away quickly while turning to hiss at me. She seems confused, fearful or disoriented, but still wants to remain near. I see a correlation with the chakra meditation and the two ovals. One oval, the feminine, was lagging behind the other. Almine spoke of the feminine having fought for its life basically and said that moving the ovals in sync changes the geometry of the feminine in and around the body causing them to work together instead of pulling apart. The female brownish-orange cat still pulls away, perhaps representing not being in sync.
When I think of cat symbols, I think of the Zhong-galabruk, cat beings, masters of frequency, who brought the wheels to synchronize time. The wheels were needed because "all magic ... needs synchronized time to work at full power." (From Second Hanging Tablet AOA/Science of Alchemy)
very helpful...& very interesting...& actually i was pretty much doing what you were doing during the meditations but it's nice to see some confirmation.
