As a woman, queer, and BIPOC-owned business, inclusivity and advocacy are at the core of the Sarah Amala mission. It’s my deeply held belief that in order to effect real and lasting change, we have to dive deep into the soil that has nourished the society we currently live in, and understand why it is the way it is. We have to understand what nutrients the soil is lacking and what toxins need to go. We don’t have to fight anything. Fighting is all anyone’s ever been doing and it has never created system change – it’s only put bandaids on bullet holes, as they say.
To affect a collective, you start with the individual. That’s you.
Through healing yourself, recognizing your strengths and gifts as well as your learned fallacies, judgments, and prejudices, you set your soul and energy free to spread a new way in the world – a way that shifts the program, shifts the paradigm, and ushers in true peace.
When you join the Sarah Amala community, you become part of the new way.
I am always striving to use more inclusive verbiage and foster an environment that feels open and nurturing to all. Patriarchal and capitalistic programming is both insidious and deep, and as such it’s an ongoing process of re-learning, correction, and humility.
Thank you for being on this ride with me. It’s an honor to have you here.
